Organ

The Saint Joseph Cathedral Bicentennial Memorial Pipe Organ, of generous size and scale, is built by the Reuter Organ Company of Lawrence, Kansas. The size of this instrument does not necessarily imply the number of stops, but much more the wide spectrum of sound realized in the designing and building of this organ. The basic tonal concept of this instrument was suggested by the musical tradition at St. Joseph Cathedral, where the repertoire is not restricted to any certain period or style. The instrument includes flamed copper facade pipes, casework of oak, with a French design console of white oak and walnut. The organ contains 50 ranks over three manuals and pedals.
